Rudy Freese Ministries
The Brief
As Rudy and Piper Freese embarked on their new ministry, they wanted a professional image while incorporating meaningful symbolism. Their mission is helping churches thrive, not just survive, specifically, when they have lost direction. Key to their service is listening to the Holy Spirit for instruction unique to the church they are serving rather than a one-size-fits-all agenda.
The Process
Symbolism of the fire of the Holy Spirit was important to the Freeses and I was challenged to present it in a fresh way, as it is commonly used in Christian symbolism. I chose a compass star motif (direction) with the flamed-wing dove at the center. The position of the dove was intentionally set moving forward, indicating both the forward direction of the church and differientiating from the descending dove used in pentecost symbolism. Rudy and Piper loved the combination.
